Usmack
is
an
incredible
story
that
combines
romance
with
political
intrigue
to
set
the
reader
on
a
rollicking
ride
on
a
very
strong
tide
of
conflict.
Mackov
and
Bynova
are
two
unlikely
people
to
be
together
in
a
romantic
relationship,
two
souls
from
two
different
worlds.
Mackov
is
a
dreamer,
a
man
who
wants
to
be
an
inventor
some
day,
and
who
dreams
of
a
romantic
relationship
like
no
one
has
ever
experienced.
He
can’t
find
such
a
romance
with
his
wife
and
his
overbearing
boss
doesn’t make his dream of being an inventor seem possible.
Bynova
has
lost
the
love
of
her
life
to
a
rival.
She
is
an
empress
who
is
about
to
lose
her
throne
as
well.
A
looming
threat
brings
her
into
contact
with
Mackov,
and
sparks
ignite
powerfully
between
them.
As
they
embark
on
a
forbidden
romance
and
on
the
quest
to
save
their
realm,
they
are
barely
aware
of
plotters
who
want
Mackov
dead
and
Bynova
dethroned. Can they win against envy and hatred?

Readers
will
fall
in

with
Mackov,
a

the

Gripping story, strong science, a book you won't put down once you start it
Some books tease your imagination. This one gives it a full-blown workout! The author
offers a new look at "first contact"--what happens when two alien races meet.
Most stories along these lines involve conflict between the races. In this book, the core
protagonists seek to collaborate while those around them divide and dicker. Each race's
characteristics are carefully defined and the plot twists and turns in surprising ways.
The author obviously knows his science. While everything is explained at a level that
ordinary citizens can grasp, there are fascinating insights offered on the different ways that
the technology of a race of interstellar travelers could develop. I suspect there could be a
movie based on this book--and I hope there will be more books soon in the series.
